  8.   CONSENT CALENDAR - (Matters listed under the Consent Calendar are routine and will be enacted by one motion and one vote. There will be no separate discussion of these items. a.     Motion to approve the meeting minutes of April 12, 2023. 

b.     Motion to approve the MOA with Ketchikan Gateway Borough to Make Improvements at Ketchikan High School, Schoenbar Middle School and Houghtaling Elementary School. 

c.     Motion to approve applying for a Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) Renew America’s Schools Grant to help fund improvements at Point Higgins Elementary School in the amount of $4, 865, 280.

d.     Motion to approve a grant application for Youth Engagement with Fisheries, Marine Mammal, and Ocean Sciences in Alaska in the amount of $16, 640.  

e.     Motion to approve the contract with Sound Decisions, LLC., for the Ketchikan High School Auditorium Audio System Replacement Project, not to exceed not to exceed $402, 069.

f.      Motion to approve a leave of absence request from Laura Kinunen, certified teacher, for the 2023-24 school year.

10.  **PUBLIC HEARING - POLICY** -Procedure (1) Citizens may give public comment regarding the subject of the hearing; (2) the public hearing is closed; (3) opportunity for Board discussion and decision. 

a.     Motion to approve new Board Policy 5141.25 Narcan, in second reading.

b.     Motion to approve revisions to policy BP 4112.5, in second reading.

11.  **PUBLIC HEARING- BUDGET**-Procedure (1) Citizens may give public comment regarding the subject of the hearing; (2) the public hearing is closed; (3) opportunity for Board discussion and decision.

     a.  Motion to approve the FY’24 Draft Operating Budget, in second reading.

         a.   KGBSD Strategic Plan with Todd White, Educational Consultant, of PhocuseD on Learning, LLC.

The Board reserves the right to go into executive session at any time as and to the extent provided by 
AS 44.62.310 (the Public Meetings Act) and Board Policy 9321 (Executive Sessions)
