PROBATIONARY/PERMANENT STATUS

Employees newly hired in regular positions or promoted to higher level positions within the same classification shall be considered probationary employees for the number of days designated in the appropriate negotiated agreement. The probationary period will be 90 days if the employee is not covered by a collective bargaining agreement or the collective bargaining agreement does not reference a probationary period. If an employee receives a less than satisfactory evaluation the probationary period may be extended for an additional 90 days.

Probationary employees who have satisfactorily completed the designated probationary period shall become regular classified employees of the district.
