ANNUAL LEAVE/PAID TIME OFF 

1. Accumulation of Leave – Annual leave/paid time off for full year employees may be accumulated up to a maximum of 140 working days or as per collective bargaining agreement. Unless otherwise stipulated in a collective bargaining agreement, employees shall be paid upon termination of employment for paid days off credits earned but not used. The said payoff will be for no more than fifty (50) days of the employee’s earned paid days off at the hourly rate earned upon termination.
2. Cash Value – Unless otherwise stipulated in a collective bargaining agreement, annual leave/paid time off pay upon termination shall be computed to the nearest whole day, with less than 1/2 day being forfeited and any fraction over 1/2 counted as a whole day.
3. Half-Time Employees – Leave days for permanent employees working half-time shall be stated in half-days. Full year employees changing from half-time to full-time employment shall have their accumulated annual leave days divided by two.
4. Accruing Leave – Permanent full-time and half-time full year employees not covered by a negotiated agreement shall accrue annual leave for days worked or while on earned leave. Employees will not accrue leave while on uncompensated leave status.
5. Leave Accrual Schedule – Permanent full-time or half-time full year employees not covered by a negotiated agreement shall accrue annual leave/paid time off at the following rate shown in the tables below. Accrual begins on the first day of service and ends on the last day of service.
